DHI cooperates with South Korean research institutions

Earlier this month, our headquarters in Denmark received a delegation from the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT).

The delegation visit aimed to establish a closer cooperation between DHI’s expertise in water environments as an approved technology service (GTS) institute and South Korea’s high technology proficiency in research and development. The cooperation will be part of a European effort facilitated by the presence of KICT in Brussels, Belgium.

Among other areas, KICT has its focus on urban infrastructure and hydrology, and aims to promote a closer cooperation between talented researchers and DHI’s experts. DHI has a prominent position in South Korea, working with South Korea’s major industries and institutions within coastal infrastructure, offshore renewable energy, power plants and urban developments. The visit is part of DHI’s long-term effort to promote the Danish industry in South Korea.
