DHI participates in Offshore Production Technology Summit in London

We took part in the 9th Offshore Production Technology Summit – one of Europe’s leading annual gatherings for the upstream petroleum sector. Held 1-2 June in London, the summit gave us an excellent opportunity to present – via selected case studies – our latest operational tools for the oil and gas industry.

As stubbornly low oil prices follows the industry into 2015, the focus in the upstream exploration and production (E&P) sector is on project recalibrations on a regional and global scale. Confronting these increasing pressures, the summit gathered the industry’s foremost experts to share their knowledge on crucial strategies, such as ways to support production optimisation and new levels of operational efficiency.

We were invited as the Offshore Innovation Showcase to present selected case studies and some of our latest tools for the oil and gas industry. We were represented by Sonja Pans, Senior Marine Specialist, and Peter Blach, Business Development Manager for offshore energy. Our presentation focused on the forecasting and monitoring of sea and ocean impacts, and included topics such as ‘Operational systems in the shallow sea’ as well as ‘Operational toolbox for realistic Metocean forecast’.

‘This is a good opportunity for DHI to engage in conversation with the oil and gas operators,’ said Peter Blach. ‘Through this summit, we were able to present our innovative and cost-effective approaches and demonstrate that our solutions can contribute to smoother upstream operations for industry players.’
