Early-bird registration now open for Nordic REACH Conference, 23-24 September in Copenhagen

DHI will be hosting Nordic REACH Conference 2015 – the first conference with a Nordic focus on the registration and authorisation of chemicals before the upcoming deadline in 2018. Early-bird registrations are now open till 19 June 2015.

Organised in collaboration with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), the event will take place on 23-24 September in Copenhagen. 

The European chemicals legislation for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) – is implemented over a ten-year period. The next - and last - important deadline is 31 May 2018 for the registration of the remaining chemicals (pre-registered chemicals with yearly quantities of 1-100 tonnes per company). The main topics of the conference are:

  • Guidelines for REACH registration before the 2018 deadline
  • Learnings from the REACH authorisations – do’s and don’ts

Other discussion topics include endocrine disrupters and guidelines on meeting data requirements without animal testing.

Guest speakers from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), the Danish EPA as well as other Scandinavian and German authorities will provide an overview of the existing regulations. Companies such as BASF, Kemira, Brenntag, Haldor Topsoe and Novo Nordisk – will also share their experiences and learnings.
