DHI signs MoU with Thailand’s Provincial Waterworks Authority

DHI and the Provincial Waterworks Authority of Thailand (PWA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) last week. The MoU was signed by Morten Rungø, head of the Urban Department of DHI Denmark, and Chompol Chokeponguedomchai, Acting Governor of PWA.

The objectives of the cooperation are four-fold:

  1. To set-up and configure computer based models for non-revenue water monitoring, pressure management and data management system
  2. To evaluate and prioritise relevant and non-revenue water and pressure management measures and alternatives
  3. To enhance capacity building on non-revenue water and pressure management measures and alternatives
  4. To initiate joint projects between PWA and DHI

Witnessing the signing was Somchai Montburinont, Deputy Governor (Technical Affairs) of PWA, and Varaporn Buranautama, Manager of DHI Thailand. The signing took place during a Non-Revenue Water Reduction and Pressure Management event conducted at the PWA headquarters. In attendance was H.E Mikael Hemniti Winther, the Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand and Cambodia.

The MoU is binding for three years.
