Friday 13 July 2012, DHI turned its new 68Kw-Peak solar power system on. The system is based on mono-crystalline panels and will supply DHI with renewable energy equivalent of 3-4 % of the total consumption. On a sunny day the system delivers enough power to supply the central server room!

The total capacity is equivalent to the power consumption of 10-12 Danish households. These solar panels have been mounted on all the south-facing roofs at the headquarter in Hørsholm. A solar system has an expected lifetime of 25 years and with a payback time of 8-9 years, DHI will enjoy free power for more than 10 years.

To promote innovative clean technology our regional head office of Asia Pacific in Singapore, chose to be part of the green initiative and moved into Cleantech Park. This is the first eco-friendly business park of Singapore, and we are very happy to be the first tenants.
