Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Water and Natural Resources visits our head office

On 22 October 2013, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Water and Natural Resources – Professor Judi Wakhungu – visited our headquarters in Hørsholm, Denmark. Professor Wakhungu was in Denmark as part of the Global Green Growth Forum.

On 22 October 2013, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Water and Natural Resources – Professor Judi Wakhungu – visited our headquarters in Hørsholm, Denmark.

Professor Wakhungu was in Denmark as part of the Global Green Growth Forum. While here, she wanted to visit a high-tech Danish water company and receive information about Danish water knowledge.

Jacob Høst-Madsen (Chief Operating Officer, DHI Group) met Professor Wakhungu, Mr. Geert Aagaard Andersen (the Danish Ambassador to Kenya) and several high-level representatives from the Kenyan private sector at our head office. In addition to a brief introduction to our organisation, Jacob highlighted some of the work we have done in Kenya. Børge Storm – one of our senior water resources experts – spoke about our projects involving Lake Victoria and the Nile River Basin.

Miriam Feilberg – Project Director of the Danish Water Forum – discussed Danish water competencies in general, with a focus on:

  • water management
  • urban water
  • reduction of water loss
  • wastewater

The delegation also toured our hydraulic modelling laboratories.
