New Agreement for the UNEP-DHI Centre

We recently renewed an agreement with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) worth USD 4.2 million. This agreement is for the UNEP-DHI Centre for the on-going period up to 2016.

The Centre’s main function is to draw on our available expertise to support UNEP’s freshwater and coastal work. This work is related to:

• ecosystems management
• improved climate resilience
• information generation

This is typically achieved through the development and dissemination of assessments and indicators, training programmes, guidelines and other knowledge publications. It also utilises hard and soft ‘tools’ for this purpose.
