First DHI LAWR installation in Bolivia

We have recently received an order for one Local Area Weather Radar (LAWR) to be installed in La Paz – the capital city of Bolivia. It will be our first LAWR installation in the country and will be used to help monitor rainfall over the city.

Our LAWR device is becoming increasingly common in South and Central America, where the relatively inexpensive radar has proven useful in mountainous areas.

So far El Salvador has completed a countrywide network of eight LAWR radars. Furthermore, the Instituto Nacional De Meteorologia E Hydrologia (INAMHI) in Quito, Ecuador, received their first LAWR radar from us in November 2012.

We have installed more than 35 LAWR radars worldwide since 2000.
