We’re co-organising the Danish Wind Power Research 2013 Conference in conjunction with the Danish Research Consortium for Wind Energy on 27-28 May 2013 at Trinity Hotel in Fredericia, Denmark.

We’re co-organising the Danish Wind Power Research 2013 Conference in conjunction with the Danish Research Consortium for Wind Energy on 27-28 May 2013 at Trinity Hotel in Fredericia, Denmark.

During the two-day conference, researchers and industry representatives will come together to discuss developments in wind technology and offshore deployment. Participants from Denmark and abroad will exchange knowledge, disseminate research results and discuss research needs.

Several of our experts will contribute to discussions on various topics related to wind energy, including:

  • high quality MetOcean data throughout all phases during a session entitled ‘Wind resources, siting and external conditions’
  • improved scour management and hydrodynamic loads on offshore wind structures during a session entitled ‘Offshore wind energy, operation of wind farms’
  • tools for optimisation of wind farm site selection in relation to species and habitats during a session entitled ‘Public acceptance, environmental issues and noise’
  • the effects of offshore wind farm noise on marine mammals in a session entitled ‘Challenges with noise’

In addition to discussing the results of new Danish national wind energy research projects, participants will also have the opportunity to examine:

  • the challenges faced by research institutions in the face of the economic crisis
  • the direction of offshore developments in the next five years

The Danish Research Consortium for Wind Energy consists of DHI, the Technical University of Denmark, Aalborg University, Aarhus University and Delta and Force Technology.
